Welcome to the East Sussex Joint Waste Partnership

The Joint Waste Partnership is formed of Eastbourne Borough Council, Hastings Borough Council, Rother District Council and Wealden District Council. Formed in 2013, the partnership deliver waste and recycling collections for over 200,000 homes in East Sussex and carry out street cleansing and beach cleaning. Here you can discover your collection day, where you can recycle and what you can recycle.

When is your collection day?

In some areas garden waste collections are suspended over the Christmas period. Please check your local council website for more information.

Find out about Recycling Around the Home

Why recycle?

Ten years ago, the UK recycled less than 5% of waste from around the home. Today, around 40% of our household waste is recycled in East Sussex, but we could recycle more. Recycling more from around the home helps save money that can be spent on other essential Council services. If every household in East Sussex recycled one more shampoo bottle we would save enough energy to power a typical primary school for 37 days.
